Thrilling Cricket Win for Emanuel
The 2011 annual OE Reunion took place on the 21st May in glorious sunshine. To top the day off we had the oppertunity to meet with old and new OEs whilst watching Emanuel beat our old rivals Alleyn's.

In a thrilling match littered with umpiring bloomers, excellent cricket from both sides managed to prevail.
Following excellent wins against RGS Guildford and Tiffin Schools fortune deserted the Emanuel batsmen as after 6 overs we were 8 for the loss of 3 wkts. Facing some of the most accurate bowling this season, No 15 and No 21 built a 4th wicket partnership of 37, before No 15 was unluckily caught behind off an impressive off-spinner. we then went on to steady the ship. Our total was 94.
Needing 95 to win, Alleyn's made a good start; with scoring opportunities hard to come by they made 30 runs without loss from the first 13 overs and were on course for a good win. However, in came Emanuel's in form bowler, on the back of a five wicket haul against Tiffin, who clean bowled the Alleyn's number 2 bat to send us in for an early tea. Tea then stirred the Emanuel bowlers into action and Alleyn's lost the next 9 wickets for just 43 runs. After tea we made a break through, removing the remaining opener. A change of bowling saw us restrict runs from one end, whilst causing havoc at the other end. Things didn't get better for Alleyn's as we secured victory by 17 runs.
